What is Quality Management?

Quality management is a system applied to all kinds of organizations that provide products or services to their clients. This term assures that the product or service is consistent and in order for it to work properly an organization has 4 main components: quality planning, quality assurance, quality control, and quality improvement. What is the objective of Quality Management? Its main objective is to ensure the improvement of any kind of goods an organization provides. This happens by applying accuracy, compliance with applicable standards in the manufacturing process and this results in a high customer satisfaction. Which are the key components of Quality management? Describe in detail each one. Quality planning: Establishing and conducting a process with the purpose of identify and determine quality standards taking into account the project. Quality assurance: Prevent mistakes on the process of manufactured products and also avoid any kind of issue regarding the providement of any kind of service to the customers. Quality control: Process to ensure that the processes of manufacture or performing a service are developed taking into account every aspect into the quality criteria. Quality improvement: To make an analysis of every process and performance of every product or service and then after retrieving all the information improve the performance. Describe what Quality Management involves. (process) There is a set of procedures that have to be followed to ensure that the Quality Management Process is done correctly. It should be performed by a team that has the qualifications to perform it. It should always start by setting quality targets of the product or service, this fact should meet with the customers needs. After that it is important to measure and report the quality deliverables and finally identify all the issues and resolve them. What does “Quality Improvement Methods” refer to? Explain in detail. This term refers to all kinds of methods used for a Quality Improvement to be successful. There are different kinds of procedures in the Quality Improvement field, so it is necessary for an organization to choose the correct path for the methods to be successful. What are the Quality Management principle that the International Standard for Quality Management adopt? Write a description of each. ISO 9001: This ISO takes into account the normative references by the terms of leadership, planning, operation, support and performance applied to a process in an organization. All of these procedures should be always focused on customer satisfaction from the beginning to the end. Also this ISO 9001 takes into account the risks and opportunities an organization has when taking any kind of decisions regarding a process. Quality objectives should always take part of every decision in a process aiming for the objectives and targets the organization has. What are the benefits of Quality Management? There are a lot of benefits that come with the implementation of Quality Management. This term applied into an organization can strengthen its market position by increasing its productivity and profits. Also it is efficient in the elimination of defects in the product or service an organization provides to their customers. It increases job security and customer loyalty.
